I am a visual artist, researcher, writer, and educator based in Amsterdam. I am most interested in the functioning of public images and their relationship to social memory and politics. I use visual/artistic modes of research (especially collecting, close reading, and montage of images), sometimes combined with academic research.

I currently teach artistic research at the University of Amsterdam, and I am engaged in the research project "Holding Grief: Engaging Trauma through Contemporary Art."
